This is my first season as well although I know that Palmer wass running for pres in season 1.

I like the show and have been sucked in. I also realize it is a fictional show but isn't it getting a LITTLE far fetched.

So far, the terrorists have 1)captured the secretary of defense, 2) secured a device to melt down our reactors 3) melted down one reactor, 4)Stolen a stealth fighter 5) shot down air force one 6) captured part of the nuclear football 7) stolen a nuclear warhead.

These guys have some great organizational skills.

He was a senator running for president in the first season; he was the president in seasons 2 & 3.

The absolute worst show on TV these days. It should be subtitled CTU: Corruptness and Torture Unify.

I just love the weekly propaganda that torture is ok and that two wrongs make a right just as long as it's in the interest of "national security". You killed my mom so I'm going to kick your ass and eye for an eye mentality rules.
And yet, you watch it.

Maybe they're onto something.

Palmer is the black guy from all the "ALL-STATE" commercials. He was President in season 2&3 as previously posted. He's a good character and I like him, good that he's back on.

I've liked the show since Minute/hour 1. I think it's awesome because it makes you think the entire time you are watching it. It's not suppose to be realistic... it's a damn TV show. I do like how when you are watching it, you tend to second guess EVERYONE, even the good guys. You are just waiting for the moment when they are the evil ones and go I KNEW something else had to be going on. It's fun!

The show has a small following.. but very loyal! Glad more people are getting into it and if you haven't seen Season 1-3 you can rent them on buy 'em. BTW I will admit last season was a little boring.

Its just a TV show. . . pure fantasy.
Since coverage of Abu Gharib was on tv it must be fantasy as well?

24 may be "just a tv show" to the truly ignorant but deep down it's really another incrementalist effort to slowly desensitize people in to accepting the notion of torture as being a necessity in everyday life. That and the fact that your civil liberties don't mean shit when there's a "hardass" like Jack Bauer in the room.

So you do watch "24"?

Back on point - I actually like the show. I think it's a little bit too unbelievable this year (more so than past seasons). . . I mean, how did Chloe get from her house to CTU HQ in like 5 mins, through LA traffic, when she was rehired???

You are reading too much into it. Any work of media, rather it be 24 or Star Wars, a certain number of people will oppose it because it conflicts with their personal political/religious views.

If you don't like it then don't watch it, simple as that.
