I had the zip drive...and it absolutely blew, seeing as no one else around had one too. So if I managed to put DooM on one of my zip disks, I had to lug the whole damn thing over there, install it on their computer, and then wait for the crappy load times.
why did so many people have Jazz drives, btw? they had em in every pc at my school, and I was like WTF? no one uses jazz.

the EZ drive discs were actual hard drive platters so the performance was a good bit better, too. They also didn't have the issues that ZIP did. It's too bad they never really caught on as it was a superior product IMO.
I took some kinda quiz online and one a SyQuest T-shirt...thats as much as I know about the company
still it seems they had some neat products.
all of those drives would have been great if not for the cd-burner revolution, that was happening at almost the exact same time.
