Default 3G iphone question......

Now that these new 3G iphones can be unlocked for T-mobile/other GSM carriers, can we still use the internet on the iphones? How does that part work out? Would we need to pay extra for it? Im with T-mobile, and might consider getting the iphone after they can be software unlocked after new years eve.

Yes, I work with T-Mobile and the unlocked 3G iPhone will work on our GSM network. The only thing that will *not* work would be the "Visual Voicemail."

Oh ok, and would I need to pay extra thru t-mobile for t-zones then to use this? Or the internet would be free on the iphone?

The iPhone would be considered an "All-in-One" device...so you can pay one of the following...

$24.99 - Unlimited Data and 400 Messaging

$34.99 - Unlimited Data and Unlimited Messaging

Apparently it's easier to "hack" the 2G to work on another network? But I dunno. I can't see why else people are buying up these old iPhones for more than a new 3G one, but I'm not complaining.

Ron (smccoy's hubby) was telling me something about that too...something to do with the 2G models having something that's better...not sure what that is. I'll PM him now.
