Some people are reporting luck using the jailbroken 3G phone's on the $5.99 plan. Before I got my iSheep (phone) I had a Dash doing push email and full p0rn I mean internet for a very reasonable $5.99 a month. Pretty much about what the service was worth.
3G is over hyped , since we here in the states are like a 3rd world nation in terms of cell phones and service. In Orang County Ca I bounce off 3G and back to Edge all the time. I am lucky that most areas I'm in have free WiFi. If Jobs doesn't die this year I would like to ask him why he would introduce a 2 Gen phone without video or voice dial or flash. I had to jailbreak mine in order to get video or voice dial. F'en bald headed geek. The only credit to the phone is p0rn looks decent on the screen.

I've never heard about the 3G iPhone not working on T-Mobile's network (for data)...but imagine's post seems logical.
The G1 is a good device. I like using mine when I'm not on my BlackBerry.

As an At&t customer, i went from the Original iphone to the 3G iphone and I regret not getting it sooner (had the 3G iphone only for 3 weeks now). The data speed difference between the two is night and day.
