I use to fly RC airplanes. I just had a starter, front prop, high wing plane which was still enough to kill a person if you hit someone with it. They are pretty difficult to control. You have to have very good hand-eye coordination. I got to where I was able to fly solo, and then had to get out of the hobby because of other things going on in my life. They are a lot of fun, but can be pretty expensive. It was something that my father and I did together. He would build them, and I would inevitably crash them. Those jets are just crazy though. They are exceedingly difficult to fly. Big props to the kid that was controlling that jet.
I currently have a similar "trainer" I've been learning on. I got cocky last year and did a loop too close to the ground and lawn darted it. Got it back together and flown it a few times. Broke the prop mid-summer and haven't gotten it out since then.

Before opening the vid I had a feeling it was going to be a delta wing shape. Seems like all the guys going for speed are using this style of fuselage.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but that thing is illegal to fly in most places in the U.S., due to its potential interference with aircraft, etc.
Anything over 200 MPH is illegal in the US (according to a guy I work with who's really into this stuff).
