so i'm 19 and making 50k a year at my job...why do i have no money left? does cost of living suck this much in other areas?

 

Do a budget and find out. For one month write down every penny you spend.

 

incoming random kid who makes lots of money and drives a brand new s2k and he did it all on his own with no help from rich mommy and daddy in fact he has so much money he doesn't even bother buying a membership to s2ki.

i havent lived with my "rich" parents in over two years. my father passed away and my mother kicked me out at 16.

and i was just asking a simple question. you wonder why i didnt buy a membership? look at how long i've been on this site...not even a full week. i just havent gotten around to it.

I have 2 cars and a house too, but I somehow seem to have money left over.

It's all about living within your means.

When I say I have a house, I really mean my brother and I have a house. Half a mortgage payment = way better than a whole mortgage payment.

and when I say I have 2 cars, I really mean I have one real car (2004 S2k), and one POS i drive everyday (99 Chevy Prizm).

I only buy things when I REALLY want them, and there aren't a lot of things I really want, so I don't spend much money outside of my bills and normal expenses.

 

If you are a member of the Emperor's Club VIP, that is part of the problem right there.
