What a bunch of girls. I would keep it at 65 year round if I could. Our office AC isn't strong enough, so it's been 80 deg in here during this heat spell. I'd turn it down to 55 at night at home if the wife would let me.

Vegas casinos are notorious for this.

Yep, it's pretty cold here at work as well. I am right under a vent and the thermostat is down the hall, so the temp I am feeling is well below the 72 that it is set to. Its funny how 72 in the summer feels cold, yet 72 in the winter feels hotter than hell! During the heat wave I was freezing my ass off here. So much so that I just opened my window at my desk. I swore that clouds were forming at the interface!

Unfortunately getting my work done involves sitting on my ass. It's the days I'm not busy that I actually have time to take a walk outside and warm up.

It has been fairly warm lately, but when we go to a restaurant it will be too cold to even enjoy my food.

At work I have my thermometer set at 77F but it doesn't do anything.... it is usually in the low 70's in my office and my hands are frozen.

It would be interesting to see how much extra energy / power is WASTED keeping offices / restaurants / etc... too cold.

who cares....just make more energy!

When multiple people at work complained about how cold it was in the office, the business manager suggested we open the wondows.

it's around 105 and 106 in texas now, but my office is always freezing.

i'm talking about numb hands and all!
i bring a jacket, zip up and continue with my work.

i have to go out in the heat every few hours to defrost.
and i prefer the winter over summer but this is too much

In the past, I have heard that many resturants keep it cold in order to turn the tables over more quickly. Personally, I love it. Then again I live in the sub-tropical deep south.

My personnal favorite temp. is 101*, yes I know I'm a freak, I get that alot. Although I do not mind low temps, around 60-72* in school is just dumb. I barely even want to work, I love my warm temps so I just want to sit there and try not to freeze to death.

What about the fact people get sick easier in colder enviroments, what happens to productivity when everyone is sick?

Scot, put some meat on your bones you skinny bastard

IMHO, yes, some places take it to the next level with the AC. However, I MUCH rather be chilly, that dripping sweat into my 45 dollar steak.

You guys are also the people that cry when the AC breaks mid summer
