That's cool but, let's assume the kid started training when he was 4-5. There's no way he should have a black belt in 3-4 years!!! IMO it should take a level of skill and maturity that you need to be at least in the late teens to achieve. I used to get a kick out of all the people in high school that were TKD black belts after 3 years. </punintended>

At my school it would take 10 years for an ADULT to get a black belt(there were no degrees/stripes after that). And there were only a handful of people that reached that level in the 30 years the school has been around...
