I'm looking to purchase the "brain" that allows you to switch an XM Factory equipped radio to Sirius. My Accord has XM and I don't want to deal with all the additiona wires etc.
Also, I get Sirius on Dish Network. Pretty cool, only downside is no Stern on Dish/Sirius.

I have XM at home, work, and car. Advertisements are on talk stations only, and there is none on music stations. I imagine it is much the same for Sirius. One difference I have noticed is that Sirius seems more geared towards talk/sports, while XM is geared more toward music. Both can be found on either provider, however.
You're in for some commercials then. There was a recent write up in WSJ that stated Clear Channel purchased a stake in XM and would be introducing commercials to their music channels.
I've had both XM (trial when I got the Accord) and Sirius. I must say that Sirius provided the more overall package. Their music selection IMO is better as well.
The only downside to some is Sirius does not have MLB, that's on XM. Also, XM definitely has MUCH better technology. Their portable units are truly portable unlike the S50, and I heard that XM has a new immersive surround capability on newer gen players.
