Sounds to me like the radio equivalent of cable TV - definitely something I can live without.

I don't have one, but I want one (or one from Sirius Radio) when they're readily available. Just think...you can listen to any kind of music you want, all the time, from anywhere in the country, with no commercials! Or at least very few. I imagine it will be a lot like NetRadio. Very cool. No more annoying DJ's and stupid commercials!

Do a search on XM Radio and you will find some threads discussing it.

The only thing I don't like about XM is the fact that it is really line of sight..so if you're in the garage or in a lot of trees you won't be able to enjoy the radio.

Same arguement makes me giggle when people talk about being safe because they have a GPS...I always ask what happens when you end up in a cave??

I have XM!!!!! I love XM, once you go XM you never go back. When you listen to AM or FM right now that's what you hear, you're accutomed to it. When you start turning over to the Unsigned stations on XM hearing new never heard before artists, you stop listening to AM or FM, but i've found even my CD changer get's less use, if i don't have the music i want to hear it's on, if i want to hear the game, any game really, turn on sports, beats the hell out of AM. Digital Quality on those long road trips, never have a channel fade out as you reach it's limits. I love XM the $10 fee is shit, who needs cable if you've got an S2000 for the scenery and XM for the hits classics news and sports. major sports channels Espn Nesn and so forth. MTV radio. Kid's Channels, trust me, don't use these unless pressed to silence small children.... If you search XM for threads you'll find me talking about it a lot, i'm wondering where to mount the antenna on my S2000. I've got the hard top but that won't always be on, and the antenna's supposed to be on the highest point on the car. Thoughts?

Is it a very large antenna or no? When they say Satellite radio i picture a rotating Satellite dish spinning upon the trunk lid or something

There are two antenna's on the market. The one I chose is the smaller of the two, it's size is close to that of a baseball..... that has been crushed and demented in a vice of some sort, they both have interesting shapes, the other is a little larger and definatly taller. they're not that big and noticeable, just different and to people who know what it is eyecatching.
