Breaking news on CNN, MSNBC, et al. No indications it is or is not terrorism.

Correction, CNN now says 255 on board.

Crashed in the Far Rockways, witneses say that the left side of the wing with the engine was on fire. I do not beleive it was terroist attacks. I guess the FAA is too tight with secuirity they forgot to do some maintence??

Accident or Terrorist act, this is another devasting blow to the airline industry. Unfortunately I am in the midst of this since I work for the airline industry.

My prayers go out for those who lost the loved ones.

This year is coming to a very bad close.

This is sad new indeed. I grew up in Flushing, Queens and have relatives and friends in the area. I don't know if they have determined wether this was an accident or a terrorist act, but in either case it is a terrible tradegy for the people of NY and the US.

This is truely terrible, my thoughts go out to everyone.....

American Airlines again..... even if it is an accident, which all the news reports say they think it was, this could be the end for AA.

Yup...This is a big blow to AA and the airline industry in general especially holiday season is around the corner. You would probably see a lot more cars on the road this year.

The airline industry really is feeling it hard..... British Airways have just launched an offer of return trip flights from London to Tokyo for GBP199!!!!

They must be seriously feeling the pinch if they are reducing their fares that much!
