Accident
i was parked at a red light this morning and this stupid !@#$% fool forgot to press on his brakes all the way and his car started to roll from a stop and bumped into my car. i thought for sure by the impact that my rear bumpers fell off to the ground. but to my amazement, after we pulled over. there was no damage, except i got a verticle indentation from i guess his front liscense plate. about 1 inch long. the paint was still there and there was no other damage except for that. you can hardly tell its there, except if you feel it with your hands. my ? is, is it possible to get rid of a indentation on my bumper? too bad it wasnt on my paint, i could of got rid of it with my paintless repair kit. maybe i should use a hair dryer and warm up the bumper to see if the indentation comes out.
has this happened to anyone before?

You should always get the insurance number. It won't be good if you have other problems with it..some loser did that to my winter car and hit me so hard that my muffler feel off.

Take this as advice, whenever someone hits you and it doesn't look bad, swap infomration (driver's license, insurace, etc.) no matter what. Even if it doesn't look like much damage, you may later find more damage (like the bumper doesn't line up properly, etc.). The key point here is to NOT be a nice guy and just let it go. If ANY kind of damage is done, have their insurance company fix it right away.

I got bumped by a cute chick in a firebird awhile back. Stopped and looked then pulled over and looked again. I could see nothing so I let her bail....the next week while washing I found the damage.... as stated above, always get the information. IMHO, if you could feel the bump there is probably some damage.
