Default rear ended again for the 2nd in 3 months

I was rear ended in my Grand Cherokee 3 months ago, while stopped at a street light. No major damage, just a dented rear bumper. Person's insurance replaced it the following week. Last night my fiance and I are stopped at a stop sign in the s2000 at Sams Clubs Parking lot getting ready to turn on the main road when all the sudden we get rear end. I've never jumped out of a car so fast ready to kill someone! The way jerked inside the car I was expecting the back to smashed but I could not see any damage not even as much as a scratch. I instantly called 911. The Lady was yelling at me that there wasn't any damage and that she would give me her insurance card. I told her I was still filling a police report. That is when she really got persistent on saying there isn't any damage you can have my insurance info. I kept telling her neither one of us are mechanics and you have no idea if something could be damage behind the bumper. She then started yelling it wasn't her fault and blah blah. At that point I had it and told her to shut up. I then texted myself her vehicle make and model and license plate number a I knew something wasn't right. The police officer finally arrived and I had mentioned to him that something was fishy about her... She told the officer she left her license in her other car. Turns out she's here on a green card and does not have a license. She was arrested before for driving with out a license. To make things worse since the accident was on private property they could not arrest her. Lucky you do not need a drivers license to be insurance so she did have insurance. After we got a police report my fiance and I went home called her insurance company to make sure everything was legit, witch it was. We then went to the acute care center to get our necks and backs checked out. They said we have a bad case of whip lash, but everything ok. They gave us some muscle relaxers and gave us the usual speech of plenty of rest and ice.

Both the officer and I looked under the car and could not see any damage. Is there something I should look for? Once the ladies insurance adjuster called, I'd like to have it take somewhere to be checked just to make sure. Otherwise, the car is covered in the garage and will not move until next spring.

Lol she never refused to give out her insurance she wanted to give me her insurance and then leave without the police being involved. My brother did that once and the lady gave him fake info. I don't need to deal with that BS. You can deal with the police or leave and deal with leaving the scene of the accident. Either way I'm getting your license plate number and covering my @ss (not said, just my thought on accidents).

The part that cracked me up the most was the lady was taking pictures of the front of my car... UM yeah you hit me in the rear... Idiot. She didn't like being called and idiot. "I'm not an idiot, don't call me an idiot".

That must be the reason why we got whip lash. I was shocked that there wasn't damage but we had gotten such horrible whip lash.

there probully is damage under the bumper, all cars are ment to ripple and compress to absorb the energy. Go somewhere good to get it checked out, they should put in on a rack and a machine that measures the frame to see if it rippled..
Being in the autobody business i have seen the smallest crashes total a car cause the frame rippled. The only exception is u said that the bumper wasn't even damaged, so most likely ur frame is fine...
but still GET it checked out!!!

That is kind of what I figured. When my fiance was rear ended she had a small dent on the bumper, but when they pulled it off the frame was bent as well. I've been contemplating turing the S in to a straight drag car, so either way I want to have it taken somewhere to get check just to be on the save side. Do you think her insurance will pay to have it checked out and no damage is shown?

glad you're ok, and glad to hear you got a police report.

ive heard at least a dozen stories of people not getting police reports at the scene and people then chaning their stories, fake info, etc.. and thus leaving the victim to hang. you should ALWAYS get a police report.
