I play lots of blackjack and roulette. Seems that I tend to just throw my fun money all into the hole.

Any suggestions on how to stop?

You must realize the odds are against you of ever winning. Switch to poker and start using a bot. You might be able to turn you addiction into winnings. Everyone else are using bots, so it is the only way to level the playing field. If not, gamblers anonymous may be a good route.

The guy is saying he thinks he might have an addiction and you're encouraging him to continue the addictive behaviour...Please understand it's not about the winnings.

There are plenty of questions you can ask yourself to start assessing if this is an actual problem. Consider asking yourself these questions & be honest with yourself. In recent years we've come to understand more about compulsive gambling and be able to successfully treat it. A gambling addiction can be just as destructive as a drug addiction, so I would take this seriously.

how the **** do you get addicted when ur losing. i go to casino with only certain amount of money that i wanna spent. and no cc with me. if i lose that money i get the **** out and go home and probably not gonna return to casino for AWHILE cuz i am broke.

once i went to casino everyday for a week. probably hour at the max each day. won at least $50 everyday. in that case i gotta go back everyday but not when i am losing.

i would recommend getting into a new hobby and getting a piggy bank. every time u wanna go gambling put $20 or watever into the piggy bank and work on ur hobby or go beat off man.

I just had a discussion with a woman at the office who had recently left her husband because of gambling addiction. They had been together half a million years. He ran up $80,000 in gambling debt and they refinanced their home which was almost paid in full with a new 15 year mortgage to pay off what he had lost in several months. Then he ran up another $70 grand and she walked out. It ruins lives.

Everyone has an addictive personality, some just have not found what they would become addicted to. I go to Vegas every now and then but don't bring much cash. I play maybe $50 a day in slots (which can take 20 minutes) and can see how one could get suckered into the thought of being just this close to the next big win. Don't get sucked in. Quit and never go back. Online gaming is especially for suckers.

Lucky for me my addictions are Halo and DDR. Good luck bro.

I'm sorry to hear of your problem, you can get help in alot of places but the key is to set limits. ALSO you are playing two terrible games (blackjack, roulette) which give you no chance of walking away a winner. Get into poker, its fun and much more challenging. Every other week I play in a $200-300 buy in tourney and I have done very well. Went home with 2K two times in a row, and if i lose so what.
