how the **** do you get addicted when ur losing. i go to casino with only certain amount of money that i wanna spent. and no cc with me. if i lose that money i get the **** out and go home and probably not gonna return to casino for AWHILE cuz i am broke.
once i went to casino everyday for a week. probably hour at the max each day. won at least $50 everyday. in that case i gotta go back everyday but not when i am losing.
i would recommend getting into a new hobby and getting a piggy bank. every time u wanna go gambling put $20 or watever into the piggy bank and work on ur hobby or go beat off man.

Now...a gambling addiction is some serious shYT. Do not take it lightly as it can ruin YOUR life, the life of people that care for you and could potentially put you in debt for the rest of your life.
Go to a GA meeting - it is the best think you can do. Do not for a second, think that you can control it, don't think that you can gradually take control of the situation - it does not happen.
Now...I was fortunate enough that I went to one of those meetings with a friend of mine. I did not think "I" for say had a problem - I have always considered myself financially responsible, but I could also see myself spending a little more time periodically. After hearing some of the stories the "hard core" people had to share...I was simply in disbelief...
You have taken the first step, which is to somehow/somewhat admit to yourself, you could "potentially" have a problem. Don't take any chances...throw the money at your car instead - it will be better spent....or send me the money and I will make sure it gets better spent...hehehehhe. Just kidding!
Good luck dude!

My dad said that was bad because it would provoke me to gamble again, he said the best first gambling experience is a losing one
Why are people addicted to gambling?

Sorry to get off topic but can anyone explain how the house has the advantage in Blackjack?

Gambling with a healthy mindset is an entertaining and remarkably low cost hobby. The key is 'healthy mindset' which many people lack (these are the same people spending an entire paycheck on Powerball tickets). The draw for most addicts is initially the Jackpot (capitalized for a reason). Hitting the big one, having a killer run, etc. They're drawn to the 8000:1 Royal Flush payout on a video poker machine; but they only get that royal flush once every 40000 hands or so. After the lure of the Jackpot dims, some people keep going to "get even" or whatever they wish to call it. Once you focus on getting even or ahead (rather than having fun with discretionary money) you become an addict. Everything in a casino is mathematically against you, even poker (though that game has the slight offset of skill).
