Does anyoen else hate those things? I figure I have a pretty decent sized TV at 53", but it bugs the heck out of me to constantly have the screen smaller, or miss some action cuz the station I'm watching decides to put something pu on the screen. I figure at times I'm loosing a good 1/4 of my screen real estate due to

1) status bar on the top saying what the score is
2) some stupid stat that pops up on the bottom
3) some ad for some completely unrelated show that makes noise and pops up

You'd think that they would take some of that stuff into account... especially on sportscenter or soemthign showing a highlight when THEY'VE GOT THEIR THING RIGHT IN THE WAY!!!!!

I already don't like the fact that they scrunch up and deform the screen when they add their bar to the bottom... makes everything look all fuzzy.

Are we going to get some format soon where you can have 2 tv's ... one for updates.. .and one for the action and ONLY the action?

I also have a large TV, I think it's 56" or so, with that widescreen format. You should be able to set the aspect ratio through the menu to see everything. I have mine set to widescreen, and have no problem seeing everything.

 

no.. it's not that I can't see the whole picture... its that stations clutter the whole picture with all kinda other junk...

To add to your list, is when there's a weather advisory and it covers up the score overlay.

That's about the only pop-up I like.
