I want to go with the lions...but I think a three to one ration would give the hyenas the advantage.

 

I got my money on the hyena's in the hyena vs. wolf fight.
Their jaws are uber-stronge.

But a few lions vs. a half dozen hyenas, money is placed on the lion.... although I doubt they fight to the death, just over food, and eventually (from what I have seen) the lion just walks away.
