I fail to see the difference in this instance. And what 'satisfaction' do the family and friends of victims feel? If any, only a quenching of the thirst for revenge.

i think death is an easy way out for criminals. some criminals might should be tortured then healed repeatedly for many years, perhaps life. but not killed.

Hypothetical situation:

Its 1950. You have just been made a member of a jury panel for a capital case.

The defendant has by overwhelming testimony been found guily of multiple murders, torture, and rape.

You are asked to decide his fate: What do you choose, life in prison without parole or death by firing squad. Its that simple.

All you have to do is decide this and the rest will be based on it.

The Defendant...Adolf Hitler.

What's your verdict?

no death penalty....
They need to PAY for their crime, not escape from the crime.
Eye for an eye isn't enough....and it isn't fair.
They need to suffer longer than a painless death.
NO DEATH PENALTY
There......

I agree with the death sentence totally, I just think it should be more public than it is If you were to steal a candy bar in... say... Singapore, they would CHOP OFF YOUR HANDS. I guarantee they won't steal again, EVER for the rest of their life. I believe in the saying 'For every action their is an equal or greater reaction'. Would you rather have this guy wasting your tax dollars sitting around watching cable TV all day just to get out and do it again and live off your tax dollars again?

BTW - sumir brahmbhatt I'm assuming you didn't vote for Bush as he put more killers to death than any other governor in the US, maybe even in all of US history. Good 'ole Texas! Gotta love it
