NO DEATH PENALTY
There......
To quote a line from a movie that says it the way it is, "When you kill a man, you take away all that he is, and all he's ever going to be." --Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven.

I dont think of that as escape. If your religious, this person would go to hell, purgatory, etc. If your an atheist, your ending his entire existance. I dont understand those that would defend life in prison on the basis of it causes more suffering or is "less easy". I'll bet most death row inmates dont think that way either or it wouldnt cost 24 mil to go through the appeals process with them. All they "win" in appeal is life in prison. It seems silly to waste time doing this if life in prison is the greater of these two evils??

I think McVeigh wanted to end it, b/c he knew he would be considered a martyr and a hero by those who believe like him. Same if they put to death one of those abortion doc bomber/killers. Can actually further their cause.

Something to think about.

Well, it seems like it is about 100 for, about five against at this stage but I still don't agree with it

We beat all topics to death on this board! Have you ever seen people so obsessed over whether or not a car will have a glass or a plastic rear window?

Hmmm, maybe we should have posted McVeigh in cyberspace and subjected him to the mods/no mods debate/flame o rama!

LOL!
Indeed, even as a graphic designer, I've never seen so much debate around colors : RED!! BLUE!, etc...
