Default Ancient Alien Theory

So what do you all think about some of the things put forth in these theories? I know some seem far fetched and outlandish, but there are other things that do make me say, that's pretty compelling.

Any of you guys more in depth with these theoris?

There's a lot of theories. Which one are you speaking of exactly?

Angels? Nephilim? Annunaki? Carvings in a bajillion different ancient civilizations? All of the 'writings' of other races interacting with us? The 14,000+ year old radioactive ash found in India? The list goes on and on... at the end of the day they're all theories.

But to answer your question: Yes I firmly believe we've been visited multiple times in human history, likely by different species. My ultimate question is how often, and to what degree did they interact and/or influence cultures. I just find it way too coincidental that a number of civilizations have differing stories, of similar beings (or different, but similar in nature) interacting with them to different degrees; things like pyramids being on 4/7 continents a little odd. Of course I'm level headed enough to understand this is a belief inferred from different things, and like most of my beliefs, don't have all of the evidence to actually prove it.

That emoticon is awesome.

Yeah, a lot of the evidence, circumstantial or not is really interesting. Like some of the things you mentioned, the radioactive ash for example is really mind blowing. How did this stuff happen? I didn't realize there were seperate theories, I thought they were all kind of the same thing, just from different cultures and eras.

I too believe that other beings have visited Earth and still do, however I just wish it would be made known to the public. The mystery is cool and all, but why are we being left in the dark?

Like a lot of "theories" that can never be proven, much of the "ancient alines" stuff is purely made-up. There is no ancient radioactive ash in India, just as an example. People repeat these fantasy stories as "truth" because it makes them feel special or something.

I don't know where the idea that humanity could not have done anything on it's own prior to ~1963, but I'm guessing it was something an alien said :/

I just find it remarkable that anyone would insist that "aliens from outer space" were on earth and left all these mysterious clues but no clear, incontrovertable evidence. If you are going to buy the idea of "aliens from outer space," why stop there? We all know vampires and werewolves are strong, couldn't they have built the pyramids? Isn't it logical that with the help of fairies the ancient Celts would have no problems moving massive stones to build Stonehenge, therefore fairies helped build Stonehenge?

Well yea I shouldn't say seperate theories per say. I guess the question is: Are none of these 'events' real? Are all of them real? Are some of them real, and if so which ones? So I guess I like to think of each cultural incident as it's own separate theory, then there's also the separation of ideas like the possibility that if 'angels' are real, perhaps they're [other] dimensional beings (due to the unlikely nature that if they're real, they're flying through the universe without ships), and then there's reported beings that are likely from this universe/dimension. So you have to analyze them separately first, then try and connect whatever dots you may.

Why do I think we're left in the dark? The most logical answer is because as the thread title states, it's ancient. At the end of the day it's really hard to say what went on even 2,000 years ago nonetheless 6 or 14 or whatever. Then there's the logical idea of, well we tell stories and write novels, what if that's all these are? Then enter the fact that most of these are directly associated with/referred to in spiritual/religious text which for some people is an instant red flag of delusion/mythology. Or the illuminati is just really good at covering shit up. Take your pick.
