Well, it's been one of those weeks. It started with my primary computer going into anaphallactic (sp) shock. It appears when my computer first starting having problems a few months ago, I thought it was just the processor fan failing, and that caused me to reload the entire machine since my backup restore failed. The load was less than clean, but the machine seemed happy. That is until Monday, when it puked. Scandisk, then tried to correct the unclean load which made my computer into a not-so-good boat anchor. The backup was corrupted, here I go again. The problem was that the processor fried and made many whacky decisions. (now replaced)
This was followed by Tuesday that saw my Cable Modem emit small puffs of smoke, at which time it died also.
I went out and got a new cable modem, installed it and called my friends @home, and they then proceeded to blast my account which took them a month to get right when they installed it 5 months ago (they don't like networks). I was given a new IP and sent on my way, only to find out that it just doesn't work.
I know this has nothing to do with the S and sun is out and it will get to ~60 here in the cold NE, but I just needed to rant. Of course if it weren't for the computer I wouldn't have a forum to vent, or to read about my fellow S2000 owners.
Life is so cruel.

 

........and you forgot to mention the markets are taking it on the chin, tax season is around the corner (had a visit from my accountant today)but anyways are we taking the Stooks to Atlantic City tommorow? will call you when I get home from work.....Have a nice day

 

Remedy: Pack up the errant computer in your stook and drive directly to Atlantic City. Then drive to the end of the first convenient pier and hurl that damn box into the ocean. If you are approached by the local constabulary, confess to the murder of your IBM, Compac, etc; the worst you could get would be a small fine for littering. Spend the remainder of your weekend VTEC-ing, gambling, drinking or whatever else melts your butter.

 

Wow that was good advise. I feel so much better now.

 

Umm... Littering is typically a $1000 fine!
