Another Toyota unable to stop for traffic
Anyone who thinks that this was the only option in this situation is ridiculous. Harmless people touching your car and calling you names or running people over with a 3000 pound car?
You cant justify this cause and effect IMO

The whole purpose of critical mass is to antagonize motorists. Looks like they succeeded? Pretty stupid to go out and piss off a bunch of people you don't know, some of them might be crazy.
Funny how "A group of people were threatening them, started pounding on the car, etc etc.." can be interpreted as "Harmless people touching your car and calling you names".
It can also be interpreted as "Angry mob stalking father and son and threatening their lives". Which scenario is it? Whichever side you're on determines how you interpret that. Without actually being there we can only play armchair quarterback.
Either way, I lol'ed and was horrified at the same time. They got what they deserved, but damn they didn't deserve that!

lol I left out that interpretation. OK here it is: "A group of people were threatening them, started pounding on the car, etc etc.." can also be interpreted as "a slight delay in your journey", although that interpretion requires a little imagination.
Yes he ran over people who were no threat to him, but did he do it to get away from the people who were threatening him? No one but the people who were there can tell you what threats were made or how dangerous the situation was for the driver and his son. An armchair quarterback knows the perfect solution only after the fact.

The car has a father and son in the passenger seat. A group of people were threatening them, started pounding on the car, etc etc....as you can see, the car has absolutely no way to go. The man was put in a primal position...protect your offspring...I would have done the same if I were in his shoes....it's either my kid, or run down an illegal, destructive, criminal bike group...the choice is pretty damn simple.
