We appreciate your support. You may wish to consider joining the Anti-"Stook" Club and voting for 'apathy and eye-rolling' in our upcomming election. I believe that option would be fundamentally compatable with your philosophy.

Eagerly awaiting your response,

Ted

I have hated the term "stook" since I saw it. Its bad enough that confused persons think our car is the "new miata" and that women think our car is cute. We don't need this cutesy name fluttering around our cars. If its too hard to type "s2000" or "s2k" then just type "s", I think we all know what that means.

Anyway, I hereby submit my application to join aforementioned club.

If you do a search with the keywords stook, s2k & le car, you'll find out that since october 2000, I've NEVER used them in any of my posts. Consequently I submit my humble request to be part of the club.

I also suggest that the president of the anti-stook club searches through the members history to see if they have been faithfull to the use of the term s2000 in the past...

Yes please. It's a Honda S2000, a technological, engineering masterpiece and a driver's dream. There are enough uninformed and misguided people out there putting the car down as it is. When we as a group refer to the car as a 'Stook' we don't help matters at all. I've never liked the term. I think I used it in one post some time ago. I beg to be forgiven!!

A 'Stook' sounds like something that drops out of your bottom when you're not well

Please look favourably upon my unworthy application..

When I first heard the word "stook" on this board, I was like WTF? It sounds like a sexually confused bird! LOL

I've been thinking of joining since I read your first thread on it - I love the idea! Feel free to check my past postings, and you'll find that I've never used the term...

LOL. This thread is hilarious. I like to thank Tedster for all his work. Never in my wildest dream did I think our group will grow to be this large.

Congratulations to all the board members and I like to thank and welcome the new members.

My wife has been calling ours "the S" since it arrived. Little did I realize she was on the cutting edge.

Rather than "apathy and eye-rolling" I believe the proper look is one of paternal (or maternal, as appropriate) reproach. "Haven't we taught them better than this?"
