I quote from a previous Club communique:

The Anti-"Stook" Club has never had, and never will have a membership fee or dues of any kind. There are, however, extensive bylaws, the first and most important of which, you may well imagine, is indeed to never use the term in question.
I hope this clarifies the situation regarding dues.

Would you like to apply for membership at this time?

Thank you,

Ted

The Board will take your comments under advisement. I believe that I can divulge in confidence that at this time several other, high-quality adult beverages are being considered, including single-malt Scotch and sake. The Board will make its ruling known soon, so please be patient and do not jump to conclusions. I hope that you will be pleased by the reuslts.

STOOK

Definition courtesy of http://www.dictionary.com -- A small collection of sheaves set up in the field; a shock; in England, twelve sheaves.

Now, if a shock is one of the definitions, and the s2000 is a shocker for most, then the term STOOK is appropriate in its use on the s2ki boards.

Sorry to rain on the parade guys, but DeeGYM wouldn't let me join yesterday so I gotta come up with something!

I would like to apply for a oversea membership.
Reason: I like my S 2000, not something called' Stook '.

I applaud the anti-"Stook" Club and empathize with their cause. I would like to submit my name for consideration for membership.

Unfortunately, I have found that I have used the term in question. It was only in a single post, and it was used only when replying to someone else who used the term first ... however I imagine that these apologies ring about as true as "I didn't inhale".

Is there a way to atone for these past sins? Can we apply for membership with skeletons in our closet? If you hold us all to this intense scrutiny and unrealistic standards, will you ever truly attract the best membership?

Eagerly awaiting your response,
Derek
