Default Any experiences with Omaha Steaks ?

Buying X-mas presents for people sux! Everyone has everything they want, so how would i find them something?

anyway...... i thought maybe some good food..... but this shit is expensive. $75.00 for Santa's Steak Combo
2 (6 oz.) Filet Mignons
2 (10 oz.) Boneless Strips
2 (8 oz.) Rib Eye
4 (5 oz.) Gourmet Burgers
Regular $131.00, Save $56.01 Your Special Price $74.99

I can get free shipping, so it would only cost me the $75 fir 6 steaks and 4 hamburgers....

seems too pricey to me?? is it really that good?

I buy and send their stuff all the time. Good steaks. My wife loves the stuffed potatoes.

I always get the Private Reserve steaks. More expensive, but once you taste it you'll know why.

Cook's Magazine rated Omaha Steaks dead last among a group of competitors who's names I can't remember. I'll try to find the info for you.

If you got a Costco near you, you won't taste the differnce. I purchased from them before and don't see what's the rave about. Maybe I'm lucky to alway eat the good stuff. Just remember when ordering you don't want any phone calls from them. I remember after I ordered, they kept calling and calling to see if I wanted to make another order.

I'm pretty lucky, my mom loves buying this for my father for speacial days (which to her is anyday that they are on sale) Anyway, my family would go away for weeks or weekends at a time and my brother and I had nothing to eat (we were the only ones home) so we opened the freezer and found about 20 of these suckers. Lets just say that Yes they are good, and yes we ate them all, within the one summer (more like 2 weeks).

Also their burgers, although small, are damn good, I can also speak well for the potato "puffs" and the suffed chiken breast all are good.
