I like it. I have a Digi 001 setup at home. I'm primarily an alto player but I do play tenor,soprano and bari as well.

Decent mics (I think the RE20 works best for my sound even though I use a wireless for gigs)

I think a little file sharing collaboration would be cool. And it would also force me to learn ProTools since I really suck at the editing/layering... well pretty much everything.

Having said that - my enjoyment of the S2000 has increased immensely with a few mods - exhaust, suspension and wheels/tires.

 

How does this idea sound to you. I'm working with a super drummer and I'll record a descent drum lick and put it up online as an MP3, for those that want to have a go at adding a melody line or whatever.

 

We need a bass player to complete the groove. I can throw some sax on top...

p.s. speaking of mods - I replace the stock head unit with a Kenwood cd/mp3 Sirious unit last night. In conjunction with stock '02 speakers/Lucid Kenwood three ways... the sound is vastly improved over stock.

Admittedly - I drive quite a bit without any music so I can listen to the car... but it's nice to have some decent sound in the S2k.

 

I play trumpet and have since 4th grade. Currently in the 11th year of Billy's Brass Band ( http://www.BillysBrassBand.com ) and just love it! All of us have day jobs and do this as a hobby, though we do get paid pretty well, and we've been to some cool places, like Vegas and the Miss America pageant. Wish I could do it full time!
