Default Any watch collectors here?

I'm curious to know if anyone here has any high end watches, just trying to figure out if S2K owners are ballers.

This was my latest watch purchase (on St. Thomas, USVI-- a great place to buy high quality watches and jewelry). It's an Oris Williams F1 Day-Date Automatic.

it's got a clear case-back to be able to look in the watch and see it's workings. I love it.

I also have another "beater" Swiss Army automatic watch. I only buy automatic watches.

When i go there i find you do not get huge deals on watches and the like. I do use a good jeweler up here and the prices he gives me are right in line with what i was being told in the VI. I figured i would just wait and deal with him since he is easy to find if any problems come up.

nonono. you don't pay the price they tell you on St. Thomas-- *always* negotitate it down 10-20%. Jewelry you can negotiate down even more, but the margins on Swiss watches are thinner. Definitely make sure that the place you're buying the watch from is an authorized dealer however, else you may not get warranty coverage. (Just ask them, the should have supporting documentation, a whole set of watches from one manufacturer per display case, etc.)

I checked the pricing on my Oris when I came back, and I got it close to 30% off of the best price I could find it for on froogle.google.com
