Show me an Air King with an Oyster bracelet ORIGINAL with papers for 500 bucks and Ill give you my s2000. Shows how much you know about watches....a 20 year old rolex for 500 bucks? Also, you claimed to be the "biggest watch collector on the forum" so why dont you back your statement?
Forget the Air King, I just bought a 1968 Rolex model 1500 Perpetual Date, with original riveted Oyster bracelet, box, and papers from Bernard Watch Co. (based in Texas, they have a nice website and I've gotten a few watches from them over the past 10 years)... for $895-
That one was for my little brother, 21st birthday. It's a tradition in my family. I got my first one in a sad way though, from my dad after he was killed in the line of duty when I was 21. But he got his from his dad when he turned 21 and graduated the Naval Academy, and his dad had a nice bubbleback Rolex Oyster that he got from his dad...
I actually retired my dad's watch and got one identical to it, only a few serial #s off from it, same year... wanted to mount my dad's watch in a nice shadowbox but still have one to wear to remember him by.
Anyways, here's my little collection. First, my nicest rarest watch...
Hold onto your seats....
The 1986 Swatch technosphere
My daily driver, as mentioned above, a 1966 Rolex model 1500 Oyster Perpetual Date, riveted Oyster bracelet, smooth bezel, silver Oyster face
My bling factor watch, a 1991 Rolex Yachmaster in stainless
And the watch I'd really like to get, just because it's quirky:
