Anybody familiar with coyotes?

I had a blue heeler for chasing cows and a malemute for a guard dog.

When you have cows spread out over thousands of acres...you'd need a lot of lamas.

he had that coyote 15 feet from him... I've never been that close to a wild one not in a trap.

Letting in the dog this morning and just at the edge of the yard was a fairly large coyote coming towards him but it veered off when it saw me.
there is a reason they hang around, keep your trash inside.
you will need to supervise your dog's outdoor activity.

Wow. With what did you kill her? The cops didn't mind? What'd her family say? What did your following girlfriends think of that? I'm sure it was quite the ice breaker around strangers...

"So...anyone else had to put their girlfriend down recently?"
Naw it was all good because she was a BITCH herself!!! Ba dum bum

To the OP you should get a Pitbull as a bodyguard for your other dog.

Coyote wont stand a chance!

Don't let your dog out at night, or do like me and get yourself one of these:

Great great dogs, best I've had!

We rented from a guy on Cape Cod a couple time. He had two pretty big labs. He was in the center of Chatham one winter day and a coyote attacked his dogs.

In short, house pets = protein pellets for coyote.
That is correct. We live about 40 miles north of Dallas and have lots of the critters in our neighborhood. A number of the little old ladies have let their little foo-foo dogs out at night and they have never returned. That is why we put a fence around our yard to keep them out.
The natural instinct is to fear humans but, over time they lose that fear and can become quite bold.

I like how the video starts inoocent and then gets wrong at the end.

just be aware vader that a coyote that will come with 50 yds of you much less 15 feet is not afraid of you.

That makes it dangerous to you and your pets now... Don't wait to find out the hard way.

shoot it cheapest easiest and most targeted way

If you really want to get rid of it.

Chase it down

Hump its leg profusley

Donkey punch it as hard as you can

And I promise you he will never return unless he is gay or something!

I have known several people who have had the dogs killed by them. One got a dog recently on the farm next to mine. I don't like to kill but I'll take one out on sight if I have a safe shot.
