Damn straight I would work for free. If you love what you do, anyone would. I'm a Network Admin and I love everything about PCs. I am always troubleshooting friends and neighbors PCs and I'll rebuild one for someone for nothing. Might take me a couple hours but I enjoy it and I get better at my paying job having done it.

No worries guys. It's not like I slaved over it or anything. The pic is stock off honda's site, just cropped. I farted with it because, details aside, it is more along the lines of what I personally find pleasing to the eye than what we have. The dark blue/black to too distracting a contrast to the otherwise white pages. When I look at the page, that's what I see. I'd rather see a better balance.
Taste is something very hard to describe in words. While the pros are totally right about the level of creativity, I did it as a demonstration of what I find pleasant to the eye rather than my photoshop skills (its the first thing I ever did in photoshop). I say "I'd like a splash of color" and I get a flashing neon sign. I say "tone it down a bit" and I get black and white. How come I can't get a graghic designer to do something compatable with what's in my mind's eye? I think graphic arts should touch the senses and evoke a feeling. I can't seem to communicate that.
As for doing things for free, I suspect my billing rate is a smidge higher than yours

I hope you can take criticism cthree. Being in the Graphic Design (advertising) business I am judged from the way I dress, to the car I drive, to what restaurants I frequent, to the way I design graphics. I guess I am pretty hardened to opinions. It is a nice banner considering that this was your first Photoshop attempt (you should have seen my first "designs" back in school
Anyways, I hope I didn't squish your dreams of becomming a Graphic Designer.....Practice makes Perfect......

You should have used the logo by kens2K:
I think you'll find that "S2000" is trademarked by a company that makes the S2000 gambling machine. (True!)
I personally don't like the font for "International".
The white space looks like something's missing there.
The photo would be good if it wasn't so foggy; it would be even better if it showed the complete twist in the road, instead of cutting it off at the bottom.
What the hell is the thing in the grill? A yellow neon light?
