Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

Anybody remember this concept?

If you get a segway, I will fly to your home and make fun of you every morning. Those things have to be the gheyest invention ever.
Guess it depends on your POV. My ex-gf's dad has multiple sclerosis, and his Segway has been extremely useful to him.

You don't want it. My friend's girlfriend has it and she is a tiny little thing - she still finds it SUPER underpowered. I can't imagine what a CBR125 would be like.
I still think I might get one. It does a 14.5 quarter, thats quick enough. I am only 155 pounds myself.

I am not a motorcycle guy, they scare the crap out of me, but there is a fairly decent "back route" into work where I would not have to do much freeway and can still do 55. It would be mostly for giggles and 60 mpg. I don't care about going real fast. 70 mph on it would probably scare the crap out of me.

I just like the idea of scooting around and getting high mpg a few times a year for about $2k used.

Tire smoking crotch rockets are not my thing. I will leave that to my four wheel vehicle.

A bicycle is your best bet... 4 miles is like a 15 minute trip max, plus you get a little exercise. Not too long that you'd be swetting like a pig once you arrive, but enough to get your heart going. Bikes are cheap too, and won't cost a dime on gas.

I'd say good luck getting it up to 65+

She said it's not a great highway cruiser, but it might be fun for you! Anything with an engine is fun to me so have a good time

You could look into a 200cc Vespa scooter. petrol, yes, but they run forever and have enough power to get to 75-80mph. i've usually heard scooters are easier to get on/off of and not get dirty compared to motorcycles.

but no, i dont remember the concept.
