Anyone aware of what happened on the weekend in Bali?

I wonder if the U.S. government will help to bring the perpetrators to justice. President Bush did say that we are at war with terrorism, wherever it may strike. I'm just thinking that he's got his hands full trying to start the war with Iraq, and that attempting to police this situation will hurt his lobbying.
I realise your intentions are the best, but that is a little patronising. We have an extremely competent diplomatic corp and foreign investigators and can handle this situation ourselves. With the greatest of respect to our transpacific allies I think meddling from the US Government would do more harm than good.

That said, your sympathies and kind wishes are greatly appreciated.

I also think this is very true, yet I think that using whatever resouces the U.S. could contribute should be used, albeit discreetly. Remember that Americans also died in this attack, although disproportionately so to the Aussies.
My remarks did come off as patronizing, and I do apologize, but I don't think that only Australia should handle the situation. It should be a coalition, with Australia in the lead.
