Is saltwater easier to keep clean? I used to have a little freshwater tank and it was constantly disgusting.

I gues it doesn't help that I had an electric blue lobster, who made more than his fare share of mess...

I wish I could maintain something like that, but I don't know the first thing about it.

I'm in freshwater aquariums at the moment, but once I'm out of school I'd like to get into saltwater. They just require too much maintanance and money for me to handle. You've got some healthy looking fish, nice job

thanks guys really appreciate the comments, and to be honest as far as maintenance is concerned, i'll use the analogy of washing your car because you love your car and want it to look good, same with the aquarium... Water change about once a month, clean the glass twice a week, feed everyday regularly... Its really not bad at all and the end result is really rewarding.... Best of all, is that my tank is actually in my bedroom right next to me so i get to enjoy it ALOT....

I would also like to the point out that its really only the initial setup thats expensive but once you get that taken care of, it really almost runs itself and its amazing watching all the coral grow and spread onto my live rock...

Yea thats the part I'm refering to as far as time consuming is concerned. I've done a good bit of research into starting up saltwater tanks and it can be a hassle if it doesn't go right the first time. Especially with algae and diatom blooms.

Beautiful fish! I like fish but one thing I hate is that I can't pet them; looking is not enough. Pets are supposed to be petted. When I had a tank of fish, I always wanted to reach in and pet them (and I did too, by cornering them).
