Look it up on Wikipedia... I think it's pretty common.

Never happened to me. I though you meant when you fall asleep wrong on your arm, restricting blood flow and you can not move it for awhile hahahah!

Just wondering if anyone on here gets sleep paralysis sometimes? I have had it happen like 3 times now and it always feels like your dying. No fun hahah. Anyone else have this happen?
Basically you are sleeping in REM and your brain wakes up but your heart is beating REALLY slow and you can't move or breath well. Last for like 30 seconds. Also like see shit thats not there as your half dreaming too. Crazy stuff. Happened again last night a few times. Eventually you wake up from it and can move. The first time it happened I thought for sure I was dying. Now I know I just gotta wait till it's over but by far the craziest thing I have experienced. Hallucinate a little when it's happening too!
YEs.....a lot. I really have to fight it to wake up. It's weird shit.

Really sucks right? It was trying to suck me back into it last night after it happened the first time. I had to fight it from taking over again haha. Kept like smacking myself so I wouldn't lose movement haha. I was moving and wide awake then or at least I thought I was.

The first time it happened to me I was dreaming that a demon was trying to take my soul. My eyes were wide open and he was standing right over, smothering me. I couldn't move a muscle and when I tried to yell all that came out was a weak huuuuuhh sound. I woke up feeling sort of...raped. It's happened a couple of times and I now know what it is when it happens. It's almost kind of enjoyable, like watching a really scary movie - the adrenaline rush when you wake up. I can laugh when the demon comes, but when I try to laugh all that comes out is a weak huuuuuh.

Yes....I learned to live with it....it started in my teens. I can fight it off when it happens now much, much faster, pretty much as it starts. When it first happened I really thought I was dying and that I had some kind of brain hemorrhage or something, and I went to my doctor that day as it happened when I was taking a nap. He told me it was sleep paralysis/night terrors.

Its funny you mention this because I had an episode last night. I was dreaming I was being raided by the Obamabot army and I wanted to get to my gun but I couldn't wake myself up right away...then I really tried to wake up...and it took me a few seconds to break out of it. Someone alluded to it before as a sort of possession. That is really what it feels like. I chalk it up to a very vivid imagination while dreaming.
