i did mine on turbotax.com - quick, easy. just answer some questions and enter a few numbers. no need to install anything.

I agree. I have used the hardcopy of turbotax for the past several years after doing them all by hand for years before that. Unless you have some weird investments or rental properties you should save the money and do your own. Really quite easy.

Yep, turbotaxonline for me too. Works well for my Schedule C stuff.

Plus, from what I've read, turbotax on the web is free (through the federal tax web page). I believe intuit removed income restrictions for the free use of their federal turbotax package on the web. If you want to use turbotax for state tax, you will still need to pay for that though.

For the paranoid, you can get to the same place by going to www.irs.gov, clicking e-file, choosing free filing options, and clicking on turbotax.
