Default Anyone grow their own pumpkins?

So first, yes I'm random. My last post here was Vodka. Now it's pumpkins. Go me.

My favorite holiday is Halloween. Always has been, probably always will be. This year I planted two patches of pumpkins, the jack-o-lantern size and the 100lb+ giants. I'm looking for some other people who have done the same and might have some good advice. Right now the vines are already 10' long and I'm getting some babies coming up... it's pretty fun to watch.

I'm sure there are no other SoCal people with experience, but the watering really confuses me. Some days I water and they look perfect afterward, and some days I water and they seem to wilt even more.

Pictures of the giants coming when they are done growing next month sometime.

oddly enough and by far most random I think it's pretty cool you're growing your own patch.

Take some pics!

For sure.

The patches get like $10-20 each... I have about 25 growing right now. I wonder if you need a permit to sell them on your front lawn.

I had a friend in the Sacramento area that grew the 1000 lb ones.
