Default anyone have FFXI for PS2?

tell me about it... likes, dislikes... Deciding if it's worth picking it up, I did notice that it has a paid membership deal, how much is it?

Oh yeah, and the new Resident Evil is coming out in a few days!!!

I just got it too. Only put in like 3 hours so far.
Good: huge world, pc/ps2 compatible, lots of jobs, really long, etc.
Bad: $12.95 a month, really long!

loki, not only is it $12.95 a month but it also takes away time from SOCOM.

GOOD POINT!

I guess the only reason I'd get it is if Socom2 needs it at some point as rumored, maybe it'll come down in price or something by then.

I think I'm really deterred from it based on the membership fees and the amount of time you have to put into the game based on a review I read on gamespot.

I will have to get the latest Resident Evil tho!!! But bummed that the new Metal Gear Solid will be a Gamecube exclusive.

I was never a big fan or RPG's so the final fantasy series never really caught my eye.. I'll have to say Grandia had me hooked for a long while on the dreamcast.

If it supports SOCOM II, I'll spend money on it. Any other online supported game, be it Madden, ATV2, XIII, or Nascar 04(which should have supported all players for the 40 car grid NOT 2!) just dosen't appeal to me. And monthly subscriptions!? If I wanted to do that I would have gotten XBOX Live. Destruction Derby Arena looks promising w/support for 20 players per game but we all know it is great gameplay that makes or breaks a game.
