Anyone Read the LA Times article on Who Shot TUpac?

We will just have to wait and see, but there is one picture, an autopsy report wher eit shows him on his deatbed all cut up after an autopsy, if anyone has ever seen this, or if you haven't (google search: Tupac Autopsy pic), can somone tell me if this is photochopped? I heard that it was fake because during an autopsy, it would be much more bloddy and messy, and that you cuy straight down the chest, but this is all speculation, there is also presumably a tatto missing on his neck... need feedback....
EvoII, I wish Tupac was alive and well just as much as you do as I miss his music GREATLY but he passed in '96... I've accepted that....For those that think Tupac will be a forgetten memory in the future??? How ironic is it that I'm saying this but to quote Biggie "Your dead wrong!" he is the Black Elvis of Hip Hop and his legacy will live on in the hip hop world for ever.

Just because an album was bought during a particular generation doesn't neccassarily mean it was bought by that generation.

Who do you think Tupac saw when he staggered up the elevator in the lobby of a Times Square recording studio on that faithful night when he got shot 5 times?? It was Puffy, BIG, and about 40 other new York Rappers, Agents, etc. that had a surprised look on their face like Tupac was never supposed to make it, like they didn't get the job done, is that the definition of a businessman? To try to eliminate the competition? Get your facts straight, Puffy was just as ruthless as Suge Knight, only difference was that he wasn't 6'3 and 300 + pounds...
In as long as I've followed hip-hop, I don't remember when Puffy was ever indicted for this. I'm glad that Puffy, BIG, and other rappers weren't acting non-chalant when they saw Tupac come up to the recording studio. I'd act pretty damn surprised too if someone came into a room I was in, in the condition that Tupac was in.

You think if someone wanted to kill Tupac, you'd think they'd make sure he was dead before they took his gold. I think the motive of that shooting was for a jacking, not for an "assassination".

Puffy is a real smart business man. He knows whole heartedly that if Tupac was around, and a feud existed, both rappers (Tupac and Biggie) would have continued bangin' on wax and sold more and more records. If you're looking for conspiracy, Suge stood to make more money with Tupac's death than Puffy.

BTW, did Biggie or Puffy ever admit up to being surprised that Tupac was still alive? I don't remember that. I do remember Tupac's accusations of that, which is what really got the feud going in fast forward. If that's where you are getting your info from, it's just speculation.

Remember, Puffy's never been into bangin' of any kind. He's was a college student with a dream and a drive. He's now an all out business man...he's got more to lose to portray an image of a thug than a business man. Hell, he's living one of LL's quotes to the fullest, "Do you want a thug or do you want love."

He made a tribute to Biggie, and sold it. Do you know where the money went? Look into it. All that money went to Biggie's kids, Faith, his mother, and a kids foundation was created in Wallace's name. To which, Puffy still contributes, and Biggie's mother heads the board of.

Biggie's family is still taken care of by Bad Boy Entertainment in the form of royalties from use and sale of Biggie material.

Tupac's royalties are still owned by Suge.

Again, judged by the company you keep.

I don't understand why you are trying to make this into a "who is" better argument.

The main point of the initial disagreement was whether or not Tupac is a hero and/or a leader of some sort. I don't think he is, you do. No more, no less.

And, to be fair, just because something is not embraced by the black community as a whole does not mean that it is not embraced by society at large.

I realize that the black community does not speak for the nation as a whole. I was just using it as an example. (a bad one maybe but one nevertheless)

Oh, okay. I understand where you were going. If I hear you right you're saying that the artists I mentioned do not hold "universal" appeal (for lack of a better word) across generations.

If that is, in fact, the criteria, I don't think we have had or will ever have anyone reach that standard...and I would certainly say that the artists I mentioned will come closer to achieving that standard that 2Pac ever could have.

This isn't meant as a slight, just a fact that with as many "divisions" as we seem to have in our modern culture a consensus is VERY difficult to come by on any topic...and certainly something as subjective as art.

Luder94, Puffy should hav emade up his mind a long time ago, he proclaims that "I am not a gangbanger", and then talks about gangbanging in his lyrics. Dont you think that is a bit hypocretical? I blame Puffy + Bad Boy Records for the '94 shooting because they set the man up, and did a pretty good job of doing so in the process. But anyways, we are gettign a bit off topic with the East/West (Well, really just Bad Boy/Deathrow) feud... BTW, here's a riddle, whats the difference between Earnest Hemmingway and Tupac Shakur? Earnest Hemmingway was a drunk (but I guess people fail to mention that, ironic isn't it?)
