Sweet phone, but no way in heck i'm paying $500-$600 for a cell phone. I'll wait until they go down in price if I can resist temptation.

Also they're missing the 1 feature that would have made it perfect for me - GPS. I wouldn't be surprised if this is added in future models. After all, this is only the beginning of the iPhone, it will only get better and better.

i can't really see the iPhone dropping in price at all. The 4GB/8GB nano's are $200/$250 bucks so for sure, the iPhone will be will over since its an ipod + phone. I know $500-$600 is a lot you get what u pay for, ipod + smartphone. So if you have either that, iphone seems like the route to go

Of course it will drop in price. All gadgets do. Take the iPod:

original ipod, 5GB, $400

current ipod nano (smaller, more features, better in almost every way), 8GB, $250

If I wait, the price will come down, there will be more features, it will be faster and probably better in every way.

Maybe you thought I meant waiting a few months? I meant waiting years.

Technology is great for people who don't mind waiting a little. You wait a few months/years and you can get really cool schit for a good price. As long as you aren't someone who always has to have the latest (which I'm not, either)

And competition is good. The other big cellphone players aren't going to quit so imagine what we'll see next! One innovation I still want to see are better lenses in camera phones. I've read plenty of tech articles to suggest it will happen, without going to a physically larger lens.

That thing looks fairly big, but very sweet! Sure is a hefty price tag.

Anyone know if this phone is going to be available in Canada?

$500-600 with a CONTRACT? No, thanks! Without a contract, it must cost a gazillion dollars, huh? No, thanks! I could buy a decent laptop with that kind of $$.
