Is it appropriate to use an image of Hitler in your sig?

All this begs the question...when and how IS it appropriate to discuss or confront controversial topics or people?
It's more than evident that the use of Hitler's image is viewed by many as over the top. What sort of image would be appropriate to portray someone or something as acting in a totalitarian, hating, greedy and corrupt manner?
As for people using images of Hitler, I think the fact that it was construed by many as inappropriate is a far cry from saying the person using the image does not understand the full monstrosity of what the Third Reich tried to do.
And, actually, even after having visited the death camps, I can still look at a picture of Hitler and not see emaciated corpses. Maybe it's because I lived in Germany...played soccer in a statium in Nurnberg used by Hitler for ceremonial purposes and went shopping in a building that used to be a Nazi headquarters. The reality is that in many ways the man was in many ways brilliant and compelling and larger than life...the flip side is that he was a psychotic genocidal monster.

Humor is considered a "sophisticated" coping mechanism. I joke about things all the time, tragic things i.e. trauma cases, patient's who are knocking at death's door and I've got to operate on them. It's not that I am a cruel jerk, in fact quite the opposite. But, if you can see make a joke outsomething the pain of it is numbed considerably and its much easier to deal with.
