Look, For those who are also stating that Gray Davis received more votes than Arnold, that is not even correct, There were more votes for Arnold than there were for "No" on the recall, also, he will bring conservative business, and financial practices to this state.

What does this say about Bush? Economy is in the hole just like California. I guess Arnold will do what Bush has done to forget our problems, go to war,...but with the Indian Tribes. I don't understand it, I like Arnold, but he says he doesn't take money from "Special interest Groups" and singled out Indian Tribes, when he himself took money from developer, oil, and timber owners. He also told us he wasn't going to use negative ads, yet he did. I think he is another politician with plenty of promises and in the end this will hurt us more than help us, and the rest of the country better watch out because this recall movement will sweep the rest of the nation.

Ok, keep this non-political. No problem discussing current events, even freak shows like what took place yesterday, but try not to get into political views on certain topics. If you do this thread may end up "Terminated".

If I were elegible to vote I'd have voted for Mary Carey. I like a political figure with a figure and who's not afraid to show us her t*ts

Not everything that went wrong was Gray Davis's fault. However, he did enough "bad stuff" to really piss-off the public. It doesn't matter that it was a special interest group that started the recall. The majority of voters used their chance to vote him out.

Davis took a budget surplus and turned it into a huge deficit. He also let the energy companies screw CA over with price gouging. Yeah, he says he reacted too slowly. That's like a goalie sayign oh I tried to block the shot, but I didn't feel like moving my glove until later. To solve the problem, Davis then tripled car registration fees. Instead of paying $330 / year, I am now paying $1000.

Would the fees help solve the budget problem....yes. However, they pissed off a lot of people, including me. The govenors job is to steer the ship. Davis's administration was a cash based favor system that turned CA into the Titanic.

Most voters would agree that Arnold has no political experience and is probably not very qualified to "pull strings." However, that's exactly his appeal. The CA government is so bad, that the people are willing to try anything new - especially if he's never been in poilitics before.

I hope he does a good job, but I'll be one of the first to vote him out if we get Davis the sequel.

Where do you suggest that we speak of politics, if not in the off-topic forum?

Maybe there should be a politics forum for the healthy exchange of ideas and sharpening of wit. If you don't like it, don't go in kind of forum. It should be right between the ta ta and I got drunk and want to tell everyone how stupid I am forums. Or maybe the I drive as I please, screw the law and everybody else forum. Only in California.
