Arnold S. Is Governor of California!!!
Thanks for your responses to my map question.
I think it is refreshing to have people in office that are not career politicians. Maybe cut down the special interests and money grubbing for campaign funds, whiich has been the case here in Calif. for years.
I do live here and am willing to take the risk with Arnold, or even with many people that were running serious campaigns.
Well, we'll see what happens.

I must say that of all the people running in the recall, I think Arnold has the best chance of either making things better, or at least not breaking them more than they already are.
And, besides, if he doesn't do a good job he can always be recalled next week.
As a last word on the recall and the "democratic process":
One thing that amazed me was the 135 or so people on the ballot for governor. I realize that everyone treated the gaggle of candidates as a joke and a circus, but what I saw was the first time anyone, and I really mean anyone could get on the ballot with minimal fuss and actually run for an office without having to fight with the duopoly of the two party system.
Having just about anyone qualify for the ballot is the best example of democracy in action, IMHO. Choice is healthy.
