The ability to immediately adapt to changing conditions is one facet of intelligence.

Apparently none of you have actually studied or used artificially intelligent systems like ANN, GA, or classifier systems. All three are quite capable of solving problems in extremely unique ways that humans (including the programmer of the system) probably never imagined. This would be "reasoning" by tokyo_james' criteria. The fact is that "reasoning" is far too high level a concept to be useful in studying AI systems.

Sorry Warren. I, unlike you, do not know everything. I guess everyone except for you should stop posting, and you can shower us with your infinite knowledge.

Thanks for the info, regardless...

A spark of intelligence, eh?

(Real or artificial? You be the judge.)

I think chroot has a lack of artificial respect... or real for that matter...

Does it matter what you think?

I just ask that people avoid entering discussions for which they are unprepared.

This is the advantage of getting the jump on everyone by starting the discussion with a question. I don't have to have a clue about the topic, yet I get the "Good question", "Thanks for starting the interesting discussion", and similar comments; I just bow out gracefully.

In case you hadn't noticed, it only matters what he thinks, and you are not allowed to have an opinion. I guess it must be nice to be the king of S2ki.
