Numbness from nerve impingment is secondary to loss of blood flow. If it's a temporary loss of blood flow, oftentimes the symptoms will resolve. If it's continued loss of blood flow it could be dangerous. The brachial plexus is a large bundle of nerves coming from the spinal cord traversing the shoulder and going to the arm. With the plexus travels the main artery that supplies the arm. If this gets injured then that could be bad news.

How did you get this pinched nerve? Most likely a trip to urgent care/er would be a good idea as this may not be a benign process, and a proper history and physical followed by pertinent studies would be the safest bet.

Get it looked at. Reproducable symptoms mean you may have slipped your unstable shoulder joint. You may need a sling now and surgery later. I wouldn't take a chance because nerve death or major damage could cause problems like muscle atrophy, crps, etc.

I had a dislocatable shoulder which I had repaired. Best decision I made.

Not only is it a "No," but much like the "Ask Unkie Trunkie" thread, you will get what you pay for.

Even then, if you are either cheap or uninsured, you may want to try: http://www.MDAdvice.com/ask/ask.htm

You need to get yourself down to an emergency care center ASAP. The resulting numbness from nerve impingment is secondary to loss of blood flow. If it's a temporary loss of blood flow, oftentimes the symptoms will resolve. If it's continued loss of blood flow it could be dangerous.
