tingling in those two fingers is indicative of an ulna nerve problem. i had inflammation both only after my elbow. still, two years later i go to the therapy to follow up because from time to time i still get pain. make sure you get it checked out

Hey doc, fill me in on how you ruled out anything involving the c-spine.

No one ruled out anything. These are educated guesses based on a little information. Like I said, without a directed history and physical and pertinant tests nothing can be ruled out.

So maybe not cubital tunnel. My original assumption may be right. Ulnar nerve, but closer to the takeoff.

I have a slight disc bulge between C8 and T1 (also a by-product of HS football) and have occasional sharp pains in my shoulder/elbow along with numbness/tingling in the forearm and pinky/ring fingers. At one point my entire left arm went numb resulting in a trip to the ER.

You may want to also consider you could have a spinal issue that was recently aggrevate by your sleeping position.

I have had some epidural shots (steriod/cortizone) that aleviated the pain and numbness/tingling sensations and am now doing decompression therapy. I also have slight DDD on my C3-C4-C5 area that causes some additional problems that the doctors are hoping will be helped with the decompression therapy.

Again - asking medical advise on the interweb gets all kinds of interesting responses.

To Mr. WLaurent: There is no such thing as a C8-T1 disc. The cervical spine goes from C1 - C7 then becomes T(Thoracic). So might have a C8 Radiculopathy - due to a C7 - T1 disc herniation. Though that is quite rare. It is usually only found if patients after they have a fusion at C6-7.

To the OP: your referral pattern isn't consistent with Disc pathology. If it is clearly ring/pinky and your pattern is the way you describe it then I would think it still is Ulnar nerve with Some Thoracic Myofascial pain or Thoracic Facet Joint mediated pain. However again - you need to get disc pathology ruled out/in. I.E. see a doc - get is evaluated. Possibly a MRI, possibly a D.C. Based on that work up I can treat you

I REPEAT YOU REALLY NEED TO SEE A Doc in Person and not an E-doc. You haven't mentioned anything about smoking history, medical history, trauma etc etc. I recently diagnosed 40 y/o with lung cancer who presented with similar complaints! Did that get your attention!

Incidentally, I also diagnosed an older gentleman with metastatic cancer. His "country doc" thought he had Sciatica.

Unfortunately, Cancers and Deaths come in 3's. So I have a feeling I will be diagnosing some one in the next 1-2 months with cancer.

GL - and go see a REAL DOC(that's the 4th time I have said it)

i do smoke and it's still the same, but it's starting on the other side too, would this be an emergency that i'd have to leave work for?

If it's on both sides and if you are off shore, get yourself to a doctor.

If you are not off shore right now get yourself to a doctor.

Good luck man.
