If it's on both sides and if you are off shore, get yourself to a doctor.
If you are not off shore right now get yourself to a doctor.
Good luck man.

i'm not sure if i'll be in in time to see my doctor today
but what could be causing this?
i never had a neck injury, but i did compress my lower spine when i was young, yes because of monkey bars, but i've never had any problems since then
I assume if you don't see a doctor today you'll be okay, but the ER is always open. Just be careful, don't do anything too strenuous until you get examined.
That's why I suggested you get back to land. I know you probably do physically tough stuff on the platform and you don't want to take a chance at a permanent injury. Even with disability and workmans comp, if your nerves are physically jacked it's not worth it.

To Mr. WLaurent: There is no such thing as a C8-T1 disc. The cervical spine goes from C1 - C7 then becomes T(Thoracic). So might have a C8 Radiculopathy - due to a C7 - T1 disc herniation. Though that is quite rare. It is usually only found if patients after they have a fusion at C6-7.

Never again. In Oregon you can get a card for
See a doctor. I go to a massage therapist and it really helps me. I have a fractured T6. T6 is right between the shoulder blades, it causes me pain all the time.
went to the doctor this morning, he took a few x-rays, then called the hospital for me to go do an MRI as soon as possible, but i can't have an MRI because of the railroad spikes
i have in my ankle thanks to the army, so they did a ct scan, after waiting a few hours i went back to the orginal doctor, he told me he didn't see any thing damaged, but wants me to go back to the hospital monday for some more tests
i asked him what it could be, then he asked me if i've been having numbness or vision in other areas i told him that i've been having vision problems lately, he looked at me, and told me it could be a number of things but the test are really for MS
this scares me, because my grandmother has it

You didn't mention the anatomy that was scanned in CT, nor to undergo MR, but is it safe to assume it was above the level of your heart? i.e. neck, head, arm, shoulder.
They wouldn't do the MR because you have metal in your ankle? What's up with that? They're not imaging your ankle, right?
I'd be getting a second opinion about right NOW.
Good luck.
