taking a trip out there for a week in 2 weeks. im going out there as a vaca and visiting family. i am coming back with the decision as to if this is the place i want to move to in Jan.


Make me some recommendations on places to eat, bars to drinks, where are the stores, and i love outdoor and water activities.

ps - yes ive googled, i just want personal reccs!

Thanks to Senor for the what to do in San Antonio sections.


Magnolia Cafe or Kirby is a must!
6th street should fullfill all of drinking needs.
If you want some good Pit BBQ then let me Know we can schedule a nice drive...

Type in city, and be sure to check out the Forum section. You'll have more information than you'll know what to do with.

Yep, there's a Central Texas forum and I bet you can get some good feedback there.

When I'm in Austin, I usually try to eat at Threadgill's. I love their Chicken Fried Chicken & their banana pudding.

Threadgill's? i've never even heard of it, i'll have to try to find it next time i go down there, hopefully next weekend
