I saw that vert run and it was I was pretty "STOKED" after watching it. He did some awesome tricks. I didn't think it was the best one I've ever seen. I remember the "old school" ramp skater like Christian Hosoi. Hosoi would get major air. I still think Tony Hawk is the best vert skater.

Missed the Xgames this weekend since I was at the coast so thanks for the link.

By the way, our company is doing some artwork for Activision's line of sports games. Check out the next issue of Gamepro as we are doing the cover for that featuring Tony Hawk.

Drove my S2K to Philly to see the games....we had good seats for the Verts and the place was rock'n. We went Vert Sat and Park on Sunday. Both were very good. The PA turnpike sucks, and got lost down town Philly. The guy who parked my car at the Hotel (Dat) said he knew how to Drive it Because his mother just bought one???

I saw the sidewalk games around the Philly City hall. It was tough finding a place to see all of the action, since there were no stands. Still some pretty incredible stuff, and some hard hits on the concrete. I remember when urethane wheels came out. My old board with metal roller skate wheels just didn't cut it anymore. My next door neighbor and I mowed a sh*t load of lawns to get a couple of sets of wheels and trucks. We though we were awesome because we could ride up to the top of our home made ramp get the front wheels (yeah at that time the back had a kick tail and the front was straight) off the edge, do a 180 and make it back down the ramp.

So where do I find an old fogey with a cane smiley? _ Needless to say, as soon as the kids stepped on a skateboard, I made them a quarter pipe.

Sorry about the reminiscing, but mingster got me thinking about old times.
