Of course, it can also be dropped from the B-52, but it isn't stealthy, so the B-52 has been used mostly as a stand-off launcher of cruise missles.
I'm fairly sure this is not the case...there is at least one other weapon in the inventory that the B-2 cannot carry because it won't fit in the weapons bay, and the MOAB is bigger than anything else in the inventory. I believe El Tianti has it right...the only platform capable of carrying MOAB is the C-130. At least for now.

The C-130 is the only cargo plane currently fitted with a sled that can deploy the MOAB.

The only way to deploy it is to drag it (on its sled) out of the back of the plane with a parachute.

I would assume they are looking to do fitments on C-17's also.

Maybe it's sexy, but can it hold as much ordinance as the B-52? If I were an enemy of the U.S. and saw the B-52 taking off for me with 70,000 lbs. of weapons, I'd be a bit concerned.

Nothing prettier than a B-52 on takeoff. I love those HUGE flaps.

No, it definitely doesn't have the payload capability of the BUFF. I guess I was leaning more towards the beautiful category as opposed to the awesome category as in your original post.

The big bomb I was referring to that the B2 can carry was not the 20,000 lb one, but a bunker buster of perhaps 6000 lbs or so.

The Flying Wing was not a requisite of the stealth bomber design - just one way to accomplish the Air Force's requirements.
It is just that a Tail-less design is much stealthier than one with a tail. That almost demands a flying wing if you need something with a big payload capacity.
