Last I checked, Los Al did not service B52's. You probably heard large transport planes.

we've currently got quite a number of your B-52's over here in the Uk flying missions to down town Baghdad

I saw one take off at an airshow...an awesome site

The SR-71 is the Holy Grail of all planes. Like the McLaren F1 is to super cars.
The SR-71 flew from NY to London in 1hr 54min stopping to refuel only once. And from London to LA in a little over 3 hrs.
